SDI & TDI Diving Courses

SDI Open Water Diver Course (RM 1200/- pp*)

 

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course is an entry-level certification course designed to give you the necessary skills to safely conduct open water dives. Some of the many skills you will learn include buoyancy, proper weighting, marine conservation, equipment assembly, proper dive planning, and maintenance.

 

The course covers all the basic knowledge about equipment, physiology and the marine environment while training students to perform basic skills underwater. This course is the key to start exploring dive destinations around the globe or just in your backyard.

 

What you learn:

  • Scuba diving basic & essential skills 
  • Breathing and swimming underwater
  • Buoyancy control
  • Usage of scuba equipment especially dive computer
  • Underwater communication
  • Basic rescue techniques

 

Pre-requisites 

  • Min 18 years old, if ages between 10 to 17 years old required written parental consent
  • Student of 10 to 14 years old may obtain Junior Open water Diver and promoted to Open Water Scuba Diver when reached age of 15

 

Upon course graduation

  • Go for open water dives in conditions similar to the training
  • Enroll in the SDI Advanced Adventure Diver Course

SDI Advance Adventure Diver Course (RM 850/- pp*)

 

You’ve taken your open water scuba diver course and now your ready to expand your knowledge but you would like to see what is out there first. The SDI Advanced Adventure Diver course will give you an overview of five (5) selected SDI specialties.

 

Two of the compulsory specialties are SDI Deep Diver and Navigation Diver, which are the foundation of continuing a diver education. The remaining specialties include

  • Advanced Buoyancy 
  • Drift Diving
  • Night Diving
  • Wreck Diving
  • Marine Ecosystem Awareness
  • and many more!

 

What you learn:

  • you can choose up 3/5 specialties out of the many listed specialty (deep and navigation is compulsory)

Pre-requisites

  • An Open Water diver or Junior Open Water Diver (Juniors can only take specialties approved for their age)
  • Minimum age of 18, if ages between 10 to 17 years old required written parental consent

SDI Rescue Diver Course (RM 850/- pp*)

 

The SDI Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop your knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist, and administer necessary first aid.

 

You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescue, buddy rescue, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers who have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes.

 

What you learn:

  • Prevention and causes of diving accidents
  • Lifesaving (self rescue, First Aid, etc.)
  • Injuries and accidents management

 

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Min. age of 15 with parental consent
  • Active CPR and First Aid certification
  • Diver certification of 40-logged Open Water dives

 

Upon course graduation

  • Able to conduct rescues when needed
  • Able to enroll in SDI Divemaster Course or Master Diver Program

SDI Divemaster Course (RM 2500/- pp*)

 

The SDI Divemaster Course is the first professional level certification. During this course you will be challenged and learn what it is like to work with divers as they experience the underwater world for the first time and you will learn how to lead already certified divers and show them some of your favorite critters or dive sites.

 

Your SDI Instructor will also teach you how to manage divers, work the dive deck of a boat, and conducting safe and enjoyable dives. Other things you can expect to learn is diving Physics and Physiology, and being a professional SDI Divemaster. Your skills will be refined to demonstration quality and your knowledge increased to that of a professional.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Certified as Rescue Diver

 

Upon course graduation

  • Assist an active SDI Instructor during approved diving course 
  • Supervise and conduct dives for certified divers 

SDI IDC/IE (Instructor) Course (RM 6880/- pp)

 

So you’re ready for the next step and to get the chance to introduce new divers to the sport of SCUBA diving, see the looks on their faces the first time they breath underwater or see things they have only seen in movies and on TV.

 

 

Maybe you want to become an SDI Instructor to start or change career or so you can travel the world.

 

The SDI Instructor Course will teach current Divemaster or Assistants Instructors the knowledge to safely function as an SDI Instructor with the abilities to teach SDI Open Water Scuba Divers, Advanced Adventures Divers, Rescue Divers, Divemasters and Assistant Instructors.

 

The program is divided into two sections, an Instructor Development Course (IDC) and an Instructor Evaluation Course (IEC).

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Certified pro-diver for at least 6 month

  • Qualified as Oxygen Provider
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid

SDI Sidemount Course (RM 1200/- pp*) 

 

SDI’s Sidemount Diver Specialty is a must for any sport diver wishing to use this increasingly popular equipment configuration. It teaches students how to safely utilize side-mounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted method. 

 

 

TDI Sidemount Course (RM 1500/- pp*)

 

TDI’s Sidemount Diver specialty is the perfect course for any technical diver wishing to use this increasingly popular equipment configuration, either as a ‘stand-alone’ course or in conjunction with one of TDI’s other open circuit specialties.  It teaches students how to safely utilize side-mounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted method.

 

 

TDI Nitrox Course (RM 850/- pp*)

 

This is the entry-level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content. The primary intent is to provide the participant with a solid foundation in the concept of nitrox and help prepare the diver for further technical diving activities. You will learn the basics behind planning dives using nitrox. In addition you will be introduced to all of the formulas tables used when diving nitrox.

 

 

TDI Advanced Nitrox Course (RM 2000/- pp*)

 

The Advanced Nitrox course is the first step in taking scuba beyond the usual sport-diving applications. This course examines the use of EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for optimal mixes to a depth of 40 metres / 130 feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for dives not requiring staged decompression. TDI Decompression Procedures or the Intro to Tech may be combined with this course at the discretion of the instructor.

 

 

TDI Decompression Procedures Course (RM 2000/- pp*)

 

As sport divers planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45m/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. Your TDI Instructor will provide you with valuable information and skills.

 

The TDI Decompressions Procedures course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.

 

 

TDI Gas Blender Course (RM 650/- pp*) 

 

In the TDI Gas Blender Course, you will receive a foundation of skills and knowledge that is needed to blend enriched air nitrox for recreational divers. You will demonstrate proficiency in blending enriched air nitrox and the proper labeling of nitrox cylinders.
